    Rex's Torred

100% influenced by Torred's latest drawing, here is my chopped interpretation of it.

I didn't ask permission, I hope Torred doesn't mind. In my opinion his is still cooler and better, and of course, more original.

So lets see. Toyota lied about recalls. Lied about their HP ratings... I wonder how much truth is in their milage ratings..

    Re: Rex's Torred

the sketch on the wall, and the greound reflection are frickin' awesome. the car itself looks like a pale conversion of a bitchin' concept car into a less-cool production car that, while catching all of the design specifics, lacks the same feel. um, think G6 concept - production, only less good.

i think your wheelbase could be longer, the cab somewhat more forward on the body, but with more visual weight to the rearward side of it, and stronger butresses flowing into the bed.

but dang, that's some impressive surfacing work there!

    Re: Rex's Torred

    Thanks everyone, and Torred especially.

My concept has all the same dimensions as Torred's drawing (at least I think it does). I used his design as a loose overlay and guide.

What was the donor car you ask? The fact that you can't tell means I did my job.
But for those that have to know, I can tell you 350 reaZons why I'm not going to tell you.

Wow, that's great. The winners for both categories are clear.

    Re: Rex's Torred

I like it, but the bed needs to be longer.... Heck right now if you changed the c-pillar just a bit and enlogated the roof line, it would say mid-engine Fiero redesign all over it!

GM needs to break out of the box with designs like this! This makes a statement that makes you go WOW!!!

Excuse me Rex I don't mean to be mean in any way but didn't you post this in another thread: Last edited by Rex Raider : 05-10-2005 at 04:21 PM. Reason: Please don't modify people's work without permission. That seems to be a double standard if you ask me.

    Re: Rex's Torred

Rex, your roofline appears a bit higher than in the drawing. Other than that, and the detail of the rear fenders, character line where it meets the tail lights, it's spot on.

The fact is that aside from using Torred's sketch as a guide I didn't modify his picture at all. The creation (just not the idea) was done totally by me. There is a small difference, but a difference none the less.
I also gave him full credit and praise, and if he had any complaints, I would have deleted mine immediately.
