eeee- that's really pinched up front. Doesn't read as 'upscale' at all.
Lexus needs to separate it's 'language' from toyota a LOT more in order to move forward (not merely making the 'L' bigger & bigger), but obviously toyota has bigger fish to fry right now.
The point is if you drive that down the street it will get noticed, unlike virtually every other car Lexus has put out in its entire existence.
It's a good attempt. Looks nice, but there's something, can't pick it yet that doesn't do it for me.
When will Caddy give me a chance to buy one?
That pinched front isn't exactly aesthetically pleasing and the toned down version that already on the CT doesn't exactly look that much better.
Granted, BMW's front fasicas are now a mess (aside from the 3 coupe and the X5), but the whole side/greenhouse is totally vintage BMW.
Hyundai tried that pinched grill on a concept a few years ago and it simply looked awful.

The Nuvis' grill wasn't exactly pinched. It was a very very poor attempt at an hourglass shape for the grill (maybe that's what you mean by "pinched"), but the grill itself wasn't very far forward.

That front end looks like it could go on a 20K ricer. Not luxury in the slightest, no matter how avantgarde.
If I could afford a car like that......thats not how I would want it to look
You did a good job. If only the production model could look so aggressive.
I like it, I see the IS on a larger scale. As others have said, it looks more rice than luxury. Maybe a strategy like that could work for Lexus with the old fogeys buying ES and the drivers can get something like a 5-series with a Japanese look instead of the evolutionary BMW looks we are all so accustomed to.

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire Uzzy.
