Thats a pretty nice looking modern inerpretation of the original gn.
I see a little too much Mustang/Capri in it. But I like your style.
i get a fiero vibe myself....
Your kidding right? That looks really good for a modern GN. It stays true to its look.Originally Posted by Rex Raider

The roofline reminds me the 80's Mustang.
Yea but the original gn and the 80s mustangs were very similar with their boxy styling.Originally Posted by mk1700
too 80s looking, clashes with the rest of the current lineup
For some reason I keep seeing an Acura RSX in the front end. It's also a little too small and old-looking IMO.
Awesome rendering style though.

It might be 80's looking but it is definently a modernized version of the original grand national. Also I think that it would be good for a gn to be differently styled from the rest of buicks lineup, its hard to imagine a mean muscle machine being sculpted by using buicks elegant and swoopy lines that they use.
Thanks for all the Kudos and jeer, however misguided the jeers may be I actually knew there were going the be some Mustang comparisons when I posted it, but it's a starting point anyhow. And as far as being dated, that might be because I was trying to make it look like something that might be on the road next year (maybe a little too hard) and becase was trying to keep some of the cues that made the GN what it was (ie straight lines, formal c-pillar, hood bulge for the turbo... even the wheels are modernized interpretation of the ones found on the old GN) but I was trying not to be too retro. Thanks for all the compliments on the rendering as well. Especially you 460. It's nice to have an advocate sometimes. I'll post another version soon.
I got the same Fiero vibe as well. I like the front end.Originally Posted by runningshoes
