    Pontiac RG6 Concept

Part of a chop contest I am competing in over on CobaltSS.net.

Basically, with all the BMW/Pontiac and Pontiac/Holden talk going on recently, I felt inspired to translate that into my chop. So here is the base image.

Not the best starting image, but that's what makes it fun So my goal was to make the G6 look like a European sports sedan, ala the 3 series. So I went to work.

First off, I added insanely big wheels with non-existent wheel gaps, with a lowered stance. I then went on re-working the front fascia. As you can see from the image above, the stock G6 front clip is beyond bland. Here's where the Holden connection comes in. I then chopped in the front clip off Holden SSX Concept. It seems to compliment the Pontiac grille, which by the way, is lifted from the G8.

Also, added some side skirts to round out the look. Then I added some arrowhead vent holes in the fenders. Still torn on whether I like them or not, but without them there, car looked like it was missing something. Tinted the windows for that conceptual look. Then added touch-sensitive door handles, ala Corvette/XLR as opposed to the stock handles. And because its a concept design, i did the totally cliche thing with addition of a carbon fiber hood I then shaved the antenna, and lowered the saturation on the tail lights.

I like everything except the CF hood and the little arrows on the front fender.

loose the CF hood and I can see it as a nice mid-model update that will make it some what look like the G8.

    Re: Pontiac RG6 Concept

The fenders were dumb on the first one. The door handles were interesting, but it looks better without them. I really like what you did with the grille. It's subtle, but makes a big difference I think. Oh now I read that you lifted the G8 grille. Looks much better than the G6 grille.
