Here's my idea. Take a head on view of a new red sierra and do the following.
Change the chrome on the hood to red.
Take the top of the grill opening and insert the chrome removed from the hood to it's new location which is at the top of the large opening which will make the top of the chrome grill level to the top of the headlights.
Raise the bottom piece of chrome at the grill opening and make it level with the bottom of the headlights.
I believe this will make it kind of like the Silverado grill with out the center piece dividing the grill opening into 2 pieces.

    caprice-rear-concept.jpg

Take one WM/WN (current series caprice)slice between the edges of rear glass and C-pillars

attach new rear glass frame to upper edge of trunklid, and kinda find other uses for rear parcel shelf parts

    Voila! Hatchback!

In Australia, these cars have been popular as hell among Hire-Car operators, but sometimes need that teeny weeny bit of extra height in the already massive trunk compartment

More than once, I have fitted EIGHT pieces of luggage in there, but those goddam hardshell suitcases are the devil's curse

The rear parcel tray could probably be hinged to the back of the rear seats structure, with a link that raises it when the hatch is raised, and lowered, you guessed it, when the hatch is closed. Can still carry the superb BOSE sound system rear speakers, and other stuff
