    New Design Competition Anytime Soon?

We got ideas, from Corsair to Geo Revival, Bel Air to Saturn's Revitalization. We have the 'Ette & 'Elle scores posted up. Now, how about a new design competition, eh? Personally, I think we should either have a Geo Revival or a if Ford and GM merged kinda thing. Anything would be fine, but the deadline for this contest was like way back in November, and here we are in mid-January 2007 (a different year I remind you!), and it's still up and running! Rex, I know you've been busy, but this is kind of ridiculous! Since I can't start up a new competition, or neither can anybody else....

Yeah. What you said... just a typo, like you saying a Corsair is a Planet.

I'd be happy with either, anything.

lets really think about this one...

if we are gonna have to wait this long for the next contest... it better not be boring ... so lets think of something exciting....

    .

How about: "The New Buick Roadmaster" - a Bentley families can afford to own.

Then we can see what a new generation GM product with real style and presence on the road could look like. Maybe lots of chrome, maybe not. Maybe lots of flowing lines, maybe not. Not so Flash and Bling as a Caddy, but flash enough for a self-employed person or family that's going places.

    I love your idea MonaroSS.

I've been waiting forever for a Buick design competition.

A Buick contest? I say do it...."make it so".
IF It's A Chevrolet & RWD, Don't ride in it!!!

ALL Chevy's NEED to be FWD/F-AWD!!!

    If it's a Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Don't ride in/drive it!!

Not necessassarialy buick roadmaster, but Project Youthanize Buick.

Make a Buick car (not necessarialy small) that looks good, and would be popular with a younger audience.......

its a real shame how these contests have become such a slow process, they are very fun contests, the weekly ones still seem to move along with no problems.
having said that I have found that when these contests went into overtime(before voting started) it worked out good for most people...but not toooo long

think of someone that you consider to be of average intelligence...

Hi, I'm really excited by the new design contest but could we make it a car that is more widely known. I have never heard of a corsair or a geo rivial. I have been waiting a long time for one of these contests.

The Chevy Corvair was widely known in the 60's as a rear engined series of cars ranging from a coupe, convertible, station wagon and even a van.

    Corvair Van:

    Corvair Coupe

    Corvair Sedan/Wagon

Geo on the other hand was formed in the 80's, as a low-cost, fuel-efficent brand. (ended in 1997)

However, they were all just cars that GM had used from different alliances.

Geo Metro (Shared with the Suzuki Swift)

Geo Storm (shared with the Isuzu Impulse) (also a wagon variant, not shown)

Geo Prizm (shared with the Toyota Corolla)

Geo Tracker (shared with the Suzuki Sidekick)

Later after 1997, the Tracker, Metro and Prizm, were named under the Chevy badge.
