Are you planning on rendering it? Right now it is a little difficult to pass judgement as I am unsure as to how some of the shapes relate to each other.

I'm not sure if I am really in love with a pseudo crossover hatch, the only thing that I can think of in that segment is the Caliber... however, this could possibly shine a good light on that segment!

I am eagerly awaiting seeing more of this design!

Haha I see your point, thanks to a little bit of google images, I have never seen one of those before, but wow I see the link... you are thinking way to big though this is a hatch back, smaller than a Caliper. I'm going for basically WRX size and market. I think we use 'Cross over' a little more casually here, so let's stick to hatch or sports compact or whatever.

And yes chaseabryant I plan to render it when its done, this was just for a taster.

Still not quite happy with it, it is very much not a Saab, it isn't unique enough yet...blah blah.... not finished either

Golf GTI, Mazda MPS, WRX Hunter, from a Saab? you bet. Has to look Euro and has to blow away some of the Saab badge cobwebs.

    Craving some comments here....

I think it would be cool if you brought the weird shape of the 900 back. I was disappointed when the Saab started looking like the Nissan Sentra.

Yeah, I definatley had the old turbo coupes in mind....not so much for what I have showed here, but the finished one will be a bit different.... can't give it all away too easily, just wanted a response for the general themes etc.

    Thats for commenting guys.

Shape is cool for a Gamma-sized Saab, but why does it have to look upfront like a Bentley that squinted?

i doubt that I'll keep the round lights, may even start from scratch again as this car hasn't really had me to pleased yet.

I'll move this around a little, but it's just a different angle on things. The rectangle on the inside of the exhaust would be the reverse lights, and the wing shape that flares of from the base of the hatch would just be a subtle crease.

I like the direction! How about making the mirrors real-life-sized on the front 3/4 view too and adding actual door handles?

now in coupe form, and those door handles are just for you Bravada.

Edit: just realised the handles are tiny....i'll work on it later.... any comments welcome.

    Gee, thanks!

Now, that's a very Saaby Saab! Do send those over to Trollhattan along with a CV - they should hire you rather than that Asian guy to capture the spirit of Saab and reinvent it.

Haha, thanks! Not sure if my CV is all that impressive atm, I'll see if I can get into Industrial Design first, I'm going to be at uni for a very long time..... might help create a connection between whats in my head and what I actually end up drawing.
