My idea of a 2050 GTO

I started this at the beginning of the contest but got busy and never really had time to finish, then today I realized the contest is ending soon, so here is my unfinished GTO. Be sure to read the explanation at the bottom, it's the most important part.

In 2050 all new cars will operate in a similar way as the Maglev Trains, the cars will float above the road on a magnetic field, there will be electromagnetic guideways below the roads surface and the cars will be propelled along the roads by changing magnetic fields. This means the cars will have no motors, and will have a very small amount of moving parts, increasing reliability and of course completely eliminating emissions. Since the cars are floating above the roads surface there will be no friction, meaning cars can reach incredible speeds and because they are propelled along guideways you will be unable to loose control of your car. The government will be able to set speed limits for each road and the cars will not be able to go over that speed, unless you can bypass the limiter , which people will figure out how to do.

god ****************it! i've thought of that excact same thing with the magnetic roads, but theres always someone else who's thought of it first. ex: back in 00 i told my friend a touch screen game boy would be sweet. then, 4-5 years later, nintendo makes the touch screen game boy, and its terrible. there was another one like that that i had told my friend about and then came out for real, but i cant remember it. ill post again when i think of it.

No burnouts for the 2050 GTO, I'd miss the burnouts and the sound of a V8, but those of us who want wheels beneith our cars we can still drive a regular old gas burning, tire smoking beast on the Maglev roads.

your 3d skills are awesome, but the car has no personality, it could be a grand am or a bonny or anything you want, dont be mad is just my point of view

Thanks. I know the car is kind of boring, I didn't have time to finish it, all I did was make the general shape and then I started styling the front end, but I didn't even get that done.

I gave it a little more character (still couldn't get it done), hopefully it's not too late for the contest:
