Let me know what you think!
Simply, Gm will have to make the GTO unlike any other trend-follower (ie, Nissan's lame attempt to re-emerse the 280Z). The great thing about GM is that the vehicles have a strong history and family tree. Anyone can design a great vehicle and re-introduce a prodogy. But one thing Japan automotive makers do not have is the 'American Experience'. And if GM re-introduces another GTO they had better rely on their laurels.
I am projecting the new GTO wiil be a cab forward inspired design much like the Fiero, with a fifty-fifty weight distribiution (perhaps even a mid-engine) and an extended tail-end for a graceful line. It will be sculpted in a sensutual, Porche-like style, and it will be unlike anything on the road.. even a Corvette will look like a kitten aside the GTO's familiar snout.
Get your head out of the mainstream folks. The new GTO will kick - - - !
Think what want. Recently someone emailed me a message that Lutz had stated a Frirebird would not be re-introduced after I projected GM would introduce a Firebird...now Lutz is saying the door is not closed to a Firebird! Come on people!
