    Re: Monte Carlo

I like the profile but the front doesn't say "Monte Carlo" to me. Even though MCs have always had only 2 doors, a Quad Coupe a-la Saturn Ion might (and I emphasize the 'might') work for it.

The only thing is that if you equip it with everything you mentioned, you're up into Cadillac territory and that all should be left for (at the very least) a CTS coupe. I'm sure the next MC will have a few of the things you mentioned though, like the 6 speed auto, heated and cooled front seats, and power everything. DVD NAV is a possibility but it definately wouldn't be standard. I for one think steerable headlights should be standard equipment on everything - like DRLs.

    Re: Monte Carlo

Is a 4 - doors coupe. MC could use some distinction. Although I think that anything would be better than the current car, I think this drawing is a great idea by its own merits and is very elegant, something that MC could use as well.

I think you have something going on there. Keep working. Very good.

    Re: Monte Carlo

I figured that if the Corvette can go up against other sports cars that are 2-3 its price, why couldn't the Monte go up against luxury cars in the same manner? That explains the V-12, DVD monitors, etc.

    Excellent work!

While I like the drawing, it doesn't say "Monte Carlo" to me. A few "tweaks" here'n'there, and it certainly would be more "Monte Carlo".

MAN.....the boys in NASCAR would love that !!!! I would egg-crate the grille too ! Smooth looking and a powerful design feel. A V-12 is a bit over the top. Love to see a "vert" of that !

    Re: Monte Carlo

i agree wit PC, it needs some more sculpted lines. the grille right now looks like it's off the aspen, maybe lower the headlights and make the chrome bars in the grille black (then stick an 'SS' in the middle ). the quad-coupe thing could work, but i's like to see the late 80s headlights incorporated somehow, i liked those.

I still really like this, it is a good drawing that conveys a feeling. The design is unique in it's simplicity and understated elegenace. No frills needed, it reminds me of a old ad for the flip-out lights DeSoto of 1948-9 ?...in a very good way.

    Don't quit on this concept.

    I agree whole-heartedly.

I also like your description of it: "The design is unique in it's simplicity and understated elegenace." I think it would do well in today's market.....
