    Missing Link: Contest Rules

    Hey all you budding artists!

Here's your chance to design a new vehicle.

Entries can be hand drawn, computer designed or photoshopped. You can start from scratch or modify an existing vehicle whether it be from GM or not.

Hand drawn and computer modified images will be voted against seperately.

As with the last contest, you can enter a maximum of 2 entries into each category (2 for drawn, and 2 for chopped).

You can still post more than 4 images, but if you do, you MUST narrow it down to 2 in each category before the end date of the contest.

We will accept entries for the next few weeks. Submissions end midnight, Sunday, July 31st.

Once all entries are in, a new thread will be started showing all the entries.

Then all the members get to vote on their favorite three entries.

Contest winner gets to help select the vehicle to design for our next contest.

To submit an entry, just start a new topic in this thread, and post your image.
(Either by linking to it, or uploading it to our server).

    Design Specifications:

GM has a lot of cars in it's lineup. But there are certain models from other manufacturers, that GM doesn't have a vehicle to compete against.

The goal of this contest is to find a non GM vehicle that GM should make a car to go head to head with. Then design that competitive car.

Your creation can be from any GM division (North American or International).

    Some examples of "missing" cars:
GM's Chrysler 300 Series: Rear Drive Full Size Sedan
GM's Subaru WRX: All Wheel Drive "Rallye" Car
GM's Maybach 57: Full Tilt Luxury Car
GM's Lambo Diablo: Full Tilt Super Sports Car

There are plenty of other "missing" vehicles.

Feel free to use one of the suggestions above, or come up with your own!

Remember that the contest is part draw skill/quality but ALSO about the IDEA behind the picture.

Please, although you can make a new Camaro, please let's not have EVERYONE make one. The more "original" your idea is, the better it could do.
It is a design competition, but if you need to write a text-based explanation of your concept (to accompany the picture), you are more than welcome.

If you make a thread with multiple version (fixes, etc...) of the same concept, please specify near the end of the contest which is your official entry.

    Good luck!

As usual, if you have any questions, let me know!

does it have to be a 'competitor', or can it be a totally new vehicle

    Rex:

Should we state the brand/vehicle/type that the concept is going
up against? I think it would add viability to the contest and should
    keep things conceptually in order.

Yes, it's a good idea to point out exactly what model your car is competing with.

I believe that most (if not all) people were doing that already.
