    late entry Bonneville

I started this back during the contest, but between holidays and all, I'm very late to the party. Sorry the scan is so light. First entry for me ... go easy on me, please.

Well done, you have talent. I really like the idea of making it retro. The one thing I'm not crazy about is the agressiveness of the front end. Its got the right idea w/ the stacked headlamps and large grill, and looks very well executed, but its a little too agressive, especially for a sedan. If you can calm the front down a little bit (maybe a little more rounded grilles ala '66 GTO) than you will have a truly awesome design.

I like it alot, but as dav said, I'd make a few minor changes for my personal pref... btw, I DO like the aggressiveness of the front... it says Pontiac loud and clear, which I am 100% for... it's the bottom, the bumper that I'm not crazy about... and is it just mean or do the headlights bulge out like bugs eyes?

Thanks for the comments. As for being aggressive, I suppose it's mission accomplished, then. I'm tired of the girly-man Toyota themes out on the market. My artistry isn't spot-on, but I was seeking something with the American presence of the 300C or Charger, but undeniably Pontiac. There are more subtle ways to rework the front end, though, to simlar effect. I think a large part of the market is looking for more aggressive sedans, though.

This is more of a general comment, and not totally in regards to the picture, but I think it would be cool to see some little Pontiac cues on this car. If I remember correctly, one of the old GTO's had unique rear quarter reflectors that looked like GTO badges. Little details like that, from the days before everything came from a parts bin, gave cars character.

You guys notice all the details, huh? OK, I made a quick adjustment to fix that. It was an error, as the grille should have been recessed by the depth of the headlight nacelles. Good catch.

I was noticing the proper Pontiac style grille on this car. I haven't cared too much for recent Pontiac front designs, as they are closer to a BMW than they are to earlier Pontiacs.

    Thanks for the compliment.

A 300 in GM's lineup, but one that clearly looks like a Pontiac/Chevy... is just what the doctor ordered.

Maybe for Buick, but Pontiac needs a sporty, less brick-like car. 300 in style, but not in design.

Saab and Saturn are very capable of doing the sporty, less-brick-like thing. Pontiac has one thing on Saab and Saturn ... American authenticity. When combating 300C and Charger, American authenticity is number one on the list. Only Chevy, Pontiac, and Buick can do it. In what I've seen of the new Impala and LaCrosse/Lucerne, I figured Pontiac is the only remaining hope.
