    iChevrolet Comp: Chevy Large Car

I really like this comp of designing new direction of Chevy. My idea was to take a little inspiration from the past and integrate that with more modern design. I wanted to give the cars a horizontal feel in line with the inspiration and to steer away from the narrowing effect of the current grille setup. Enjoy, and please let me know what you think as this is very much a work in progress. I plan on adding a CUV/SUV later.

Nice partner, very nice. Only thing I would change is making the trunk a little longer.

You got real talent. Be proud.

I think the overall look is pretty good. But, & maybe this is just because these are uncolored line drawings, on the car the grille is reminding me a little too much of the current Impala, which has black horizontal elements. The grille you've drawn is wider, though.

thanks opel blitz, i see what you mean about the impala-ish look of the car. i think there is a resemblance because the current impala does not use the three section grille like the malibu and equinox, it just has two section like the drawing

    Keep those comments coming!

Needless to say I love your work, always a fan.

This one is really close to something fresh, right now I feel it's a little too US Ford Focus and could look a little newer and not as....harsh or sharp edged( sorry I can't explain that better) but sort of fatter and happier would help (compare US to Euro Focus...kinda what I'm getting at).

    That rambling aside, nice

i like everything about it, the thought, the inspiration, reasoning behind it, everything.. the one thing i dont like is the front looks alot like the new VW, which in person looks ugly and boring, to me anyway. besides that i like the cohesiveness of the car and cuv

Thanks Joe88 and American Muscle! I really appreciate the compliments and critiques. I think I am onto something with the design but need to take it one step further- especially if it is for 2020 like the design contest describes. Keep the comments coming as they push me to explore new ideas and continue to improve.

Everything looks too cool for school. I would make the foglight housings a tad smaller. Nice curves for a large car.
