    I made a Saab

So, Got bored tonight, and spend several hours looking around at old Saabs, as well as later models, getting ideas for a new one.

Utilized a bit of a larger grille that some of the older ones had (definately not the same grille, just the concept of using a larger one) as well as the accentuated "wheel wells"/fenders. I also tried an idea I had, sort of wrapping the side "ventiports" (or whatever you may call them) with the headlights, even if it was just a little bit. Also, I did an interior, because I absolutely HATE the interior of Saabs at the moment...

    Re: I made a Saab

Umm, I'm afraid it's no Saab. It's a Citroen C6 or Deesse combined with Dodge Charger and a new Lexus front, to which some out-of-his-mind tuner added unbelivably large wheels

Sorry for the rant, I'd like the idea of Saab returning to liftback bodies, but I believe this one is far too over-the-top for the Swedish brand, which should remain quite understated as concerns styling, IMHO.

I love the new grill you put on it. Side view makes it look like a RWD.

the cabin in the front shot is way too tall compared to the cabin in the side view. besides that it looks great. i'd rather see the concept in wagon form though.

    Nice try.
THe grille is way too large. Looks like something needed for a V8, which would never happen. Shrink it down a bit.

Side profile looks like a 911 sedan.

Interior? Saab wouldn't be caught dead with those generic cupholders.

The tires are a bit oversized, but there is some definite skill to the drawing. Looks almost like it could be Kappa-based.

Very cool. I love the interior. I see some S2000 styling in the instrument panel (AKA the RPM gauge).

After all of the work on the interior, all you notice are the cupholders!?!?!

Hehe, just kidding. I just chose those kinds of cupholders, because the ones that are in the current saabs (as nifty as they are) feel like they are going to break when I set something in them, or try to push them back into the dash.

For the grille, it was that, or something along the lines of this: Which would be EXTREMELY hard to make look good in a modern car. o_0

For the wheels, okay they are a bit big, but I also wanted a low-slung vehicle, so they might look a little larger than they are actually designed to be.

And, I must admit that there was a bit of inspiration from the S2000 on the gauges, however the upper portion is the speedometer, lower in the center is the Tach., the lower left and right is the fuel gauge and Engine Temp.

to the others, thanks for the compliments, and for the record I did try to put a lot of thought into it.

oh, yeah, also, I did notice a bit of a height issue with the front view, but that was while I was posting it! lol. (I only draw a section a little larger than half of the car, and then photoshop it so that it turns out completely symmetrical. (because many of you know that I draw lopsided cars!

wow, good job with the interior! I'm intrigued by the side profile, but the front view is way too illproportioned and pinched looking.

I'm a little dense, but what do you mean by pinched?

I really like this one make it a two door and make it FWD and call it a Sonnet. Saab should never have RWD IMO

Well, teh interior is very nice. It maintains the c0ckpit feel of current Saabs. But actually, it's a cross between the 9-3X and 9-X concept interiors. It's nice... except the cupholders.
