Pontiac's "other" kappa. The GXT sports a supercharged 2.2L Ecotec, producing 230 horsepower @ 6200 rpm.

    *a work in progress

I don't know. Ask the guys at Pontiac who are looking to have another kappa.

To be honest, if I thought you squeeze a V6 in there comfortably than I would've included that in the power lineup and called this Pontiac's answer to "what about a new Fiero?" Maybe it could still work. I know for sure you could make it a mid-engined car. But I went a more practical route.

I wouldn't like GM to start rebadging Opels and Holdens to make vehicles, but that looks like the future. Otherwise, it looks okay, but the Solstice looks much better (and it isn't rebadged...)

I tend to agree about not rebadging models, especially not from outside the domestic circle. It just seems like a cop out. However, I believe the Speedster is a concept itself so to me it's fair game. And if it weren't for the fact that it already had some good lines, I would've found more ways to disguise its true identity. But since it's really a nice car that could find a comfortable place in the domestic stable, I am happy with what I did.

if they brought the speedster over to NA it would sell like hotcakes. That thing is really powerful for its weight. it's absolutely miraculous...I'd love to live on the west coast and just go for a nice "sedate" "cruise" on some mountain sides....I need to stop dreaming though, not likely to happen

So if this had a V6 in it, do you think it would compete with, say, the Nissan Z?

One thing I know it needs is a little more style on the front.
