    GMI's missed opportunity #1126

OK now I was thinking why did Saab, the most obvious 4WD brand GM had, have to wait so long for an SUV/crossover. One of the reasons was the delay caused by GM's ill-advised idea to tie up Saab and Subaru just before divesting the latter which resulted in the stillborn 9-6X project (OK, now seeing the Tribeca I think we are all thankful it didn't happen).

Then I thought of another product of the Lafayette plant...

I have PhotoShop rather than GIMP here (I am not at my home) and I've found I've completely forgotten how to use it, so saying it's crude would be an understatement.

Hmm. AN Axiom with a Saab front end. Not bad looking, sir!

Not bad but I'd take a XC90 over that any day

    I approve, greatly.

Saab could have been a much more well rounded alternative to Jeep, in a way. They could have ditched those stupid European ties and focused on being all weather/all terrain.
