    GMC Tasty

Look at this, it looks like a regular van right? A nice, unassuming boxy van, not much CRAZY that could result, right? Well, as you'll see in the follow-up post, the GMC Tasty has patented yet unnamed technology which allows you to remove the side body panels, seats, and some other minor bits and install VENDING MACHINES! Think of the business oppertunities! Park in high pedestrian traffic areas and watch as hungry people line up for all the snacks you offer! It's a business oppertunity which goes where you go! And if you get tired of selling delicious snack products, you can turn it back into a regular van for regular van duty! Too good to be true?

Probably, but I tried my best to make it physically possible, although it might requite a big engine and some weights on the driver side.

I also didn't commit to a known brand because I don't wanna start any Coke Vs. Pepsi controversy.

A long thought process actually. I wanted to make something that turned into something which definately wasn't a car. My fist idea was a car which completely dismantled into a camping set actually, but I couldn't get it to turn out well. So basically, I tried to think of other things a car could possibly be turned into.

There was a news entry around that time about the Astro ending production, and then thought shifted to making a van-based product. Then, I got the idea from a combination of a really strange Japanese concept I saw in an old magazine (it worked differently though, machine on the bottom, and the car tilted onto the nose, I figured there would be too many fluid problems that way) and a desire for Root Beer in the middle of a cold night (which got me to thinking how great it would be to have a vending machine outside my door).

Also, with the way I set it up, I could potentially design other "packages" to make the van into other things, but I haven't thought up anything really neat yet.

Ice cream vans you say? This actually was really quick, and the window is square because of the sliding nature of most of these things. I think this has enough room for all the ice-cream machines, although soft ice-cream would be a challenge to fit in, and the server would probably have to be sitting due to height. It could be done though, I stand by that!. Laying out the interior would be a challenge, to say the least.

    Lightbulb Re: GMC Tasty

I love the idea. You know those street carts in all of the big citys that sell the nuts, hotdogs, and pretzels? Well I'de say that in 2030, these could take over those old crusty carts. Great Job!
