Not so much they need another one. How bout utilise the one from down under with multiple specked variants. It's all built and pretty much ready to build LHD at short notice

Re: GM needs another sport wagon

I was at a US car meet in Falkenberg, Sweden 3 weeks ago. Since over 30 years the classic US cars grew in the swedish tradition. Especially to spend the summer with. They cruise around sweden from meet to meet with a caravan all summer long. They call it "raggare" (goole it) and their rockabilly god is called Eddie Meduza.
To share and experience this with friends and family the most popular US classic cars are therefore the full size sedans and convertibles (lots of Cadillacs there!).

Anyway, this particular meeting had about 3500 cars (!!!) and was not even the biggest meet in Sweden. I saw a lot of beautifully restored wagons among those. A lot more than just Nomads. Which made me wonder why the US lost its flair for the wagons.

I am with Jason462 and hope GM will bring more cool (sport) wagons (again). I am sure an Impala and Lacrosse wagon would be sexy too.

GM, you see that nice RWD V8 Holden Sportwagon you've got? Import that thing as the new Chevy Caprice Wagon. I'll buy it. I'd love to own another GM station wagon ( I miss my 91 Caprice ). I looked at the CTS Sportwagon, but it was expensive (things that cost Tahoe money will result in me buying a Tahoe instead), small, couldn't tow and lacked a V8.

There would need to be a business case for such a vehicle in the NA lineup. Most American's aren't interested. /endthread.

When I said sport wagon, I meant a car based Station-type wagon with a V8 and rwd/awd. None of which you have mention are "sport wagons", but they are crossovers and/or SUVs.

Ha! that will never happen again! Wagons aren't manly looking enough for most people. They like to be seen in rugged looking vehicles like the Buick Encore(Wuss),Chevy Equinox(Sissy), Ford Escape (Haha!). Or any of the tall door'ed, goofy tall sided bed, quad cab short box pick up trucks.
