GM partners with FoMoCo, and uses the RX-8's RWD platform as the base for the new Pontiac Trans-Am. Pontiac ditches Mazda's Rotary engine and replaces it with the corvette's LS6. Pontiac's concept debuts in 2006 at Detroit. This is what they showed:

    -it's a WIP, comments/suggestions welcome .

Very nice, try moving the lower intake treatment up between the headlights. It needs a little more sporty aggressive flare.

    Re: My first entry

it needs a better grill-did u take that one off an old vibe?? try the new pontiac grill look-go to pontiac.com & chek it out.
take out the far front light & move the grille over a bit b/c its a side view: u shouldnt be able to see both lights.
Redo the tailight w/ lights reflections, it looks fake right now.

:EDIT: u should also make the headlights sharper, like the rx-8's. it will make it look more agressive and also loook more like what teh real thing might look like

actually, that grille is NOT off an 'old vibe'. and for the record, the 'new vibe' isn't too different from the 'old vibe', seeing as they've only produced 1 generation.

and when you said 'the new pontiac grille', your statement couldn't have been more vague. the solstice's grille is different from the GTO's grille, is different from the torrent's grille, and so on and so forth. pontiac doesn't have 1 particular grille on all their models, so i think this fits into their lineup perfectly. i see what you mean about the taillights, that'll be worked on. the headlights are definitely NOT going to be like rx8 headlights. i may modify them, but i wont change something on a chop to make it looks like the original. the one thing i might do with the headlights is make them kind of pop out, like the late 4th gen trans ams. thanks for your comments

    Re: My first entry

I still think you should do something about the tailight & grille. The car would look much better if you worked on them. The c-pillar shouldn't be so straight, how about more of a curve instead of a sharp angle. It would flow better with the entire car; the tailight's curved, the front is curved...try it. Make the headlights more agressive, right now they don't look so good.
    :EDIT: How about a spoiler?
