msabatini, i like some of your designs, you always do a lot to the base car, but sometimes...for example, this time...they can look outrageous. try to tone it down a bit and incorporate some Velite.

I'll work on it when I get a chance. Have been away and have missed working on stuff. I know I'm 'out there', and it brings to mind a song ...
"How do you solve a problem like Mariaaaaa. How do hold a moon beam in your hand...la la la! If you can help me discern the components you have difficulty with, it might help me. Thanks again!

I see you have a certain style with your designs. Pretty nice! It looks like the rear wheel has more spokes than the front one. What is the design in your avatar? It looks like a Pontiac. The grille looks pretty cool.

Looks like something MRDM would have done.
Sorry, don't like this at all.

The avatar is a concept Firebird I did a while back. It's kinda hard to see but I'll try to blow it up for you. I appreciate your comments and hope to have more concepts soon!

I would describe his work in a strange way. If the world was a sega genesis we would all be driving around in msabatini's cars. They just always remind me of this and his presentation style (especially avatar firebird) adds to my perception. Not real keen on this one, but other work is very striking and doesn't conform to current treds which makes for some very interesting concepts.

I take this as a compliment of sorts! I am not an automotive designer by profession but a classical artist who typically works in oils. The differentiation between a paint medium and photosuite is subjective. Most of what I post has terrible qualities but the originals are typically clean. I do have a passion for automobiles and I always try to present a design unlike that which you might see on the road today because much of which is afffordable (reallly affordable) is not desirable to me. Even the workmanship seems to be disquised by faux chrome plastic parts and hard plastic dashboards. I think we can do better to satisfy higher levels of design. Mine are not perfect by any means. Man you should see some of the uglier stuff..(I should post them for fun!). Thanks for you comments!

Re: Finding the Buick LaCrosse Coupe

My brother is not one to leave anything untouched on any car he has ever owned. Sometimes he'll spend days at a time refreshing the interiors, or adding exterior pieces to compliment a design he might consider "boring"!

Before rear seat headrests were an option...he had already installed his own. Before headlight covers were known, he fabricated his own. Before rear deck spoilers were the norm on four-door sedans, he'd already installed a few of those too!

His work is off-the-beaten-path, sometimes awkard and crude. But it is definitely his own style, and in some cases as I have seen in my lifetime growing up with him.....ahead of his own time!

It is nice to see some of you appreciate his work!

Brother...you forgot the time a painted white lugs on the hubcaps of our dads Javelin. I think I was 8 yrs. old. What a trip I was!
