    Ferarri SUV

    another product of boredom:

now before you grill me about the wheels, i have two things to say:

    1) im still having alot of trouble with the ellipses and how big they should be, or should they be the same or not etc... so they may be off because i have no idea how to use them.

2)i realized after i did the sketch that my wheels resemble torreds alot. now, just because they do doesnt mean that im intending to copy torred's style or that the rest of the vehicle does copy torreds style. Im still searching for that perfect drawing style for me.

    i hope you like.

The greenhouse and rear part might evoke memories of Cayenne, but the front is very Potiakish - think the original GTOs mixed with Solstice I understand you want Corvette and Cadillac to have the field cleared in the supersportscar category, but why do you wish Ferrari so bad?

PS. Just to make it clear - one of your best designs of late.

Since a Ferrari SUV would be pretty much the opposite of the Ferrari tradition, I could still see it happening. Everyone thought the Cayenne would be a failure, but it wasn't, and brought much money to Porsche.

if you can print out the tires and wheel wells then draw your design on that it might help with the perportions!thats how i do sometime! but i fade the tires so then i can scan the desig back in and then paste the tires you want!

my problem really is that iv heard from people on various sites that the ellipses for front and back should not be the same (i.e the front fatter than the rear) but when you look at actual cars, the two ellipses are identical, only the sizes differ. So im confused as to what to do. I can draw the wheels fine though.

    thanks.

Btw, i dont wish ferrari bad, i just thought theyd make some decent money selling SUVs

OR they could make an all new division that sells nothing but SUVs, or SUVs and large sedans to compete with maserati, bently and mercedes.

    Re: Ferarri SUV

I don't think Fiat in their right mind would set up a brand that would compete with Maserati. Anyway, the trouble with Fiat Auto is that, apart from Fiat itself, neither brand has an image and heritage capable of carrying an SUV. The incoming Sedici-based Lancia Pangea seems to be a total disaster, and I also fear the rumored Alfa SUV. The Maserati Gangbang might be more bearable if they find a better name for it and not follow the Porsche route of making it look like a pregnant flea.

Perhaps Fiat might bail out Mitsubishi and make them their SUV-only brand?

Another idea - revive e.g. Autobianchi and relaunch them as a "prestige SUV" brand. Kinda foot-in-mouth, but still better than a Pangea or Gangbang.

    Re: Ferarri SUV

and ya the elipse will be different if the tire is tuning or straight! it will be simply biger if the wheel is straight! but if its turned the of course they will be different! thats why i use the cut out of the wheel wells so i can learn the angle ! thants more important than the size !
