Thats crazy good job that looks to be a competitor to the Sky, Solstice, and Miata
wouldn't that be a Capri? still a great looking car, whatever you wanna call it.
No, the Capri is a 2+2 COUPE.
looks nice, but i thought if there was gonna be another couger it would look like the messenger concept. i could be wrong though
I love it more than the Messenger concept. But I think it would fend better as a luxurious counterpart of the Mustang.
Hey Tor. Great job as usual!!!Originally Posted by TorRed
Just one thing. . . the last Capri 1990-1994 was a 2 seater convertible, while the last Cougar was exactly that, a 2+2 Coupe. No big deal, in Europe the Cougar was the replacement to the Probe which was a relacement (at least in spirit) to the last Capri. But I wanted to let RDW60 know that he wasn't wrong.

Yep, I'm aware of all that but The Capri I'm referring to is the European Capri.
Nice work, Torred; you've a lot of 64-66 'Stang (prototypes, especially....since it was going to be called Cougar) in that grille. Cool!
I have to say, though, now that the Mustang's got a suitable retro touch, I think it'd be more appropriate to bring the Cougar's name back to where it started: a luxury muscle car, off the Mustang/Falcon platform. I don't deny the other quote saying that the Messenger's styling cues should be integrated; they're undeniably Mercury Cougar.
I'd say the fact that this is a smaller, sporting car, the Capri name would apply here better than Cougar. Then again, this isn't the " Name That Car" forum, so I can't whine too much.
Though I have to say the Mustang looks good on the road, doing a completely retro car will haunt them in the future. Yes, the idea of a big 'ol Cougar coupe is tempting, but unless it has a prestige badge it probably wouldn't sell in healthy enough numbers.
SO my thought was just bring back the name on a small two-seater to compete with the Solstice. I think that makes sense more than another big coupe. The Capri name just doesn't have enough "umph" to me to use. Plus it's just a sketch.
I like it alot, even though it is a FoMoCo design :p lol
Another great design Tor!

Great job TorRed, just don't get a job at Ford, or any other company, then GM would be in serious trouble.
