Hey all you budding artists!
Here's your chance to design a new vehicle.
Entries can be hand drawn, computer designed or photoshopped. You can start from scratch or modify an existing vehicle whether it be from GM or not.
Hand drawn and computer modified images will be voted against seperately. Depending on entries received, further categories could be created.
Change for this contest:
Your thread must include a minimum of 2 DIFFERENT concepts!
Each thread you create will count as 1 entry. You can have a maximum of 2 entries. If you make more than 2 threads, you will have to narrow it down to 2 (of each, chopped or drawn).
You can still post more than 4 images, but if you do, you MUST narrow it down to 2 in each category before the end date of the contest.
We will accept entries for the next few weeks. (Submissions end midnight, Saturday, April 22nd.
Once all entries are in, new threads will be started showing all the entries.
Then all the members get to vote on their favorite three entries.
To submit an entry, just start a new topic in this thread, and post your images.
(Either by linking to it, or uploading it to our server).
Again, each thread you create must include 2 or more images of DIFFERENT cars. Do not post a thread with just one picture to guage reaction. 2 or more or nothing at all. It's time for Oldsmobile to make a comeback. It's up to you to decide what new styling theme they will use. You do not have to use a previous Olds theme, and you do not have to use a previous Oldsmobile logo.
What you need to do is come up with 2 DIFFERENT cars (or trucks or combo of cars/trucks) so that we can see how your DESIGN comes across on more than 1 vehicle.
The vehicles themselves are up to you. Do you want the new Olds to take on Scion? Take on Ferrari? Take on Jeep?
It's a design contest, but it's also for IDEA, and the way you see Olds fitting back in the GM Line-up.
You can make as many threads as you want with different vehicles in them, but you must have a minimum of two vehicles in each thread. At the end of the contest, you must narrow your entries down to two threads.
It is a design competition, but if you need to write a text-based
explanation of your concept (to accompany the picture), you are more than welcome.
Please do not use ideas, designs or work from previous contests, whether it is your own work or not.
As usual, if you have any questions, let me know!
