    Contest Rules: The MERGER

    Hey all you budding artists!

Here's your chance to design a new vehicle.

Entries can be hand drawn, computer designed or photoshopped. You can start from scratch or modify an existing vehicle whether it be from GM or not.

Hand drawn and computer modified images will be voted against seperately. Depending on entries received, further categories could be created.

As with the last contest, you can enter a maximum of 2 entries into each category (2 for drawn, and 2 for chopped).

You can still post more than 4 images, but if you do, you MUST narrow it down to 2 in each category before the end date of the contest.

We will accept entries for the next few weeks. (Submissions end midnight, Saturday, December 21st.

Once all entries are in, new threads will be started showing all the entries.

Then all the members get to vote on their favorite three entries.

Contest winner gets to help select the vehicle to design for our next contest.

To submit an entry, just start a new topic in this thread, and post your image.
(Either by linking to it, or uploading it to our server).

    Design Specifications:

GM is in trouble. Merge GM with another auto manufacturer (ie: Toyota, DCX, Ford, Nissan, etc...) and create the first car (or truck or suv) as a result of the merger. The created vehicle can fall under any of the GM Divisions or division of the new mergered company, or can even have a new 3rd company name as a result of the merger.

Yes, this pretty much means an open book to do whatever you want, but ideally you will create a car (or series of cars) that can bring GM back.
It is a design competition, but if you need to write a text-based explanation of your concept (to accompany the picture), you are more than welcome.

If you make a thread with multiple version (fixes, etc...) of the same concept, please specify near the end of the contest which is your official entry.

    Good luck!

As usual, if you have any questions, let me know!

I bet that I could have said "Draw a stick figure" and you'd have given the same response.

LMAO That was hilarious.... well I gotta say this was a great idea, to the person/persons who thought this up, very creative. Hopefully this will never come true, but it will be nice to see some ideas from everyone.

So basically we can draw anything and just say it is a merge between companies... I like this idea of a contest; endless possibilities.

    Re: Contest Rules: The MERGER

hey rex, if i'm doing 2 entries, do they have to be made under the same 2 companies? or can i make another one with no relation to the first one? ex:
    1st chop-GM+FoMoCo
    2nd chop-GM+DCX

Does it have to be a car? Can it be, I don't know, farming equipment?

Nope. Think of it for a second. Silverados are often found on farms, why wouldn't, say, Case IH, want to take over and have one stop shopping for farmers? Say, a Chevy tractor?

actually, lambo started out making tractors, then they wanted to get into the auto buisness, and went looking for financial help with it. ferrari turned them down, and look where they are now, making arguably the hottest supercars available. the raging bull sure told those prancing pony panzies .
