    Contest #147: Voting!

Please remember that if you submitted an entry, you MUST vote!

    Voting Rules:

Please vote for your top 3 choices (in order).
Please don't vote for the same picture more than once, and please choose 3, even if you don't like 3 of them.

To vote, simply reply to this message and type the LETTERS of the ones you like the most. Please pick your favorites in order. Please pick at least 3 images. You can choose even more if you wish

You are voting on CHOP IDEA and on CHOP QUALITY combined.

    Each 1st place vote gets 3 points, 2nd gets 2 and 3rd gets 1.

If you want, you can vote for more than 3 entries! The top 3 get counted the same as usual. Every car listed after your top 3 gets 1/2 a point. That way if you think someone needs encouragement, or special mention, then he will earn some points as well.

If you entered, DO NOT vote for yourself, or get your buddies to vote for you. If you vote for yourself, you will be assessed a 10 point penalty.

Does anyone remember when they sold VW Golfs about 10 years ago with non-color matching doors? Our local dealer at the time had theirs FOREVER. I had no idea they only made 264 of them...they made 4x as many Ferrari F40s!

All Harlequin Golf body panel colors are deliberately symmetrical, and the color scheme has been carefully retained throughout Mike’s tinkering. Harlequins are registered and titled according to each car’s unibody color (Chagall Blue, Winflower Yellow, Pistachio Green, and Tornado Red). Believe it or not, Mike’s multicolored masterpiece is, legally speaking, plain ol’ blue.

From the most reliable reports, there were 264 Harlequin Golfs built, all of which came from the factory as 2-liter 8-valves. Mike’s is believed to be the only one with a VR6 swap. Another interesting tidbit of trivia is that Mike’s car was first used as a courtesy car by two members of the International Olympic Committee during the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. After the Games rolled out of town, the car landed at a local VW dealership and was sold to its first enthusiast owner, marking the beginning of almost a decade of modifications, car shows, and magazine appearances.
