    Contest #121: Non-GM #5

It's OCTOBER! So for this month, I've decided that all the contests will all be non-GM vehicles.

You do not need to put-down or insult the picture. It's still a CHOP contest. Make your best chop! Its nice to chop something different for a change.

Take the picture below and modify it any way that you want. Change colors, looks, background, etc...

The changes can be serious or silly. The changes don't have to make the car more desirable, they just have to make it different.

You are showing off your creativity and your chopping skills.

You must use the original picture as your starting point. Try to keep some semblance of the original pic.

You can make up to 2 entries! But if you do, they have to be significantly different from each other. Please send me final copies only. NO revisions after entry. Once you've entered, that's your entry.

If more than 20 entries are received, I might not use "2nd" entries. So please indicate which one you prefer, in case of that scenario.

    Chopping is anonymous!:

Do NOT post your images here in this thread. Instead, E-mail them to: [email protected].
Do not send a link to the picture. Send the picture itself. Please send it in JPG format. Please do not write your name anywhere in your picture.
In your e-mail (but not your picture) please include your user name, even if you think that I know who you are.

You have until Thursday at Midnight to submit your entries, so there is no need to rush right away. Quality takes time. Voting will start on Friday.

Same rule in effect. If you enter, you MUST vote. Contestants that do not vote will be penalized.

    Here's the pic to modify:

Interesting idea Rex. Using what is obviously the completed work of a novice chopper with very little talent.

Pardon? Chris Bangle? No, never heard of him sorry.

I know! This car has to many design cues and lines going on that it is distracting to the eye. There is no beauty there to enjoy.. just rough hard edges bouncing around. I detest the "flame edge" BMW design themes and it makes the car appear to sag in the middle, not very flattering at all.

this one will definitely be a challange!

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I lasso the car body, copy, paste, etc etc, make extra copies so I can screw up, but my edges are looking like crap lately. Don't know if my kids reset something or what! Have all these pixellated (?) choppy lines. Looks awful when you colour it. Can't say I've had the problem before and these are decent sized pics to work with too. Thinking it's my monitor fooling me, looks better on my 19" wide flatscreen than a reg old 17" tube type monitor.

If you're using Photoshop, it could be that the "anti-aliased" box is not checked when you use the lasso.

to be honest rex i'm not a huge fan of the "2 entries" rule, not everyone has enough time to complete 2 completely different entries.

Aside from me, very few people have ever submitted 2 entries.
It's optional, you don't need to do it.
And I generally only submit 2 when we have a poor turnout, which was the reason for asking for 2 in the first place. Some weekes we get 15 entries. Some weeks we get 3.
You don't have to be "for" it, but why are you against it?

Yup, that box was unchecked. Guess we'll have to see how the next one turns out. Thanks!
