    Chevrolet Beretta

Honestly, I can't figure out a name for this little beast, and wasn't sure if I should go "retro" with the name, what do you guys think?
*edit* looks like Beretta will be the name!*

Idea for the rear. I really want to use the round tail lights.

    Details:
    FWD/AWD optional, I4 / Turbo 4, 160HP, 200HP, and a 240HP SS variant.

The vehicle is aimed at the Golf and the Mazda 3, meant to be attractive, affordable, and fun to drive in the lower trim levels, while the upper trim levels become increasingly sporting (Stiffer suspension, bigger brakes, yadda yadda yadda...)

Let me know what you think!

    Re: Chevette or Citation?

Not bad though the front end is too "Psycho" knife-like.

As to a "retro" name, I'm thinking Monza.

IF It's A Chevrolet & RWD, Don't ride in it!!!

ALL Chevy's NEED to be FWD/F-AWD!!!

    If it's a Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Don't ride in/drive it!!

Few will agree perhaps, but I always loved the name Beretta, and think that it would suit quite well!

Oh, and I love your designs!

The grill should be toned down, but the rest of the design is spot on.

I agree, I think Beretta fits it better than Chevette, Citation, or Monza (never liked that name).

I agree. As for the tail lights, try the Traverse's tails. They're too dinky on the Traverse IMO, but on here, they should work well.

    Re: Chevette or Citation?

If you want it to make sense; then the Citation was available as FWD 5dr car and it was the original FWD compact Chevrolet. Plus, I think "Citation X-11" sounds cool.

If you just want an old name then there are many cooler sounding Chevy nameplates, I agree with Beretta. The name makes me like the car even though it was a bit of a turd, it was good looking though. (I'm just not a big N-body fan and the Corsica/Beretta L-body was like an even-more-worse variant.)

    Re: Chevette or Citation?

    Thank you everybody!

iluvcamaros: I was originally considering making sense, which is why I was sort of leaning towards Citation, however, it really didn't do it for me.

Paul: I think you have chosen the winning name! Beretta does seem to fit quite nicely, and it is a name that didn't leave a sour taste in my mouth. Thank you!

As to the grille, I understand that it is quite large, however, I was trying to meld the Camaro's aggressive / classic grille with the modern grille that we are seeing applied to every other Chevy vehicle. (and hey, performance vehicles have to breathe don't they? lol)

I think I will be leaving the rear with the single circle tail lights, there is something about the Traverse's tail lights that just doesn't sit right with me...

I LIKE the dagger nose. How about 4 round tail lights? How about 'Nova'?

I'm sure he would, but he can't write cheques, only checks.

It could be a great start into a Chevrolet full-size minivan.

    Re: Chevrolet Beretta

I highly disagree w/this thing being named "Beretta"!
    A Beretta should always be a 2dr w/maybe a convertible model available.
    Never a 4dr or a wagon!!
