    Cadillac XTS/L, the 60-Special Reborn

Compared with the XTS photo I started with, I added about three inches of wheelbase behind the B pillar, for more rear legroom, and I added about 5 inches of wheelbase ahead of the A pillar for some of the eDrive hardware. This 60-Special is a plug-in hybrid, capable of almost doubling the Volt's 35 miles of e-mileage to 60 miles without using the gas engine. Aero touches include not only the obvious, the rear fender skirts, but also the Converj's aero wheels. The longer body would also smooth airflow. The rest of the car has been touched up in various ways, including a wreathe-and-crest rear sidelight like on the '68-70 Eldorado. I tried a few "sedan" like rooflines, but none worked as well as this almost-full fastback. I think Cadillac's newest design trait just might be this fastback roofline, for its sedans as well as coupes.

Very nice, but the fender skirts make the car look too slab-sided. Could you do a version with regular wheel wells?

I actually like it. It's distinctive, undeniably American, an has vastly superior visual balance compared with the production-ready XTS.

Very well done and thought through. Just the right amount of 'Old School'....

Very cool. Nice work. I like the Cadillac logo on the rear fender. The fender skirts are a retro touch but it would be surprising to see them return to production.

Dude, calm the *&^^% down. This is my chop, my taste, my time, my effort, my hobby, my work. If you don't like it, fine. No need to shout. It's comments like this that make me question even posting chops on boards with such juveniles.

Looks interesting, but could you do one with a more formal C pillar? I think that would look great.. On another note, 'SIXTY SPECIAL' should be written out, not with numbers.

I like the idea, and the execution is very good, but there's something about the C pillar/trunk lid that seems off. Also I agree with the comment above me with spelling out sixty special.

Looks neat, though it kinda reminds me of some sort of dealer add-on created "special edition" for Boca Raton customers.
