    Cadillac "Super" ATS-V

Some news going around about even more powerful V-Series cars from Cadillac in the future. Here is my take on a "super" ATS-V:

Renders were done in Adobe Photoshop using a graphics tablet and pen.

Sorry, the renderings took a while and I don't have time to try a sedan version...

    Sure does look great!

I question Cadillac's plan to introduce an ATS-V topping model, though. Wouldn't it make more sense to upgrade the current ATS-V with the improvements they have in mind, and relabel the current ATS-V as the V-Series? I'm just not sure why they would want to finally have an established top-dog moniker at Cadillac and then go and muddle everything with a new model. Maybe the competition does that too, but with the other name changes going on soon at Cadillac, I really think some consistency would be smart.

The articles I've read state that Cadillac may be aiming for something like the Mercedes Black Series.

    Re: Cadillac "Super" ATS-V

The ATS coupe does not carry that awful "notch" in the quarter panel that the Sigma CTS coupe had. The idea was nice, eliminate the visible door handle (like the Corvette) but the execution really didn't work (square plastic "chunk" needed). It DID work on the Corvette, due to the non-metal construction (no chunk needed).

Ok, it still looks good. I'm just a fan of 4 doors over 2.

Cadillac should make an ATS V+. Drop the V8 from the CTS V in it.

    wow
Regular bland ATS needs similar tweaks to make it more agressive.
I wasn't aware we had such skillful members. Keep up the good work.

I wasn't around during Cadillac's last heyday, so this is the first time I've ever written the following words: The car to beat, the best car in its class, is a Cadillac. You're done playing offense, Cadillac. I hope you can learn how to play defense.

    Re: Cadillac "Super" ATS-V

This looks amazing. I love the surfacing on the sides and rear, the LED headlights, the "fin" emphasis, the redesigned spoiler, just everything.

I agree that this is what the ATS-V + V8 should look like, if it were to happen. I didn't notice 'til CarFreak77 pointed out how unexciting the current ATS is. It seems like my hype for the model is solely coming from the HiPo versions and my opinions aren't so lopsided with the C-Class and Q50 (I know the Eau Rogue isn't happening).
