For those who don't follow the Cadillac threads....
Its working title is Cadillac Sixteen II, and it's for Asia only.
A simple cut and stretch between front wheel well and firewall, the third side window welded over and a new rear clip and tail lights converts this WM Zeta Statesman. It uses a new bonnet and front fenders made of composites (easy for low volume production) with an Art & Science front lights and grille.
It uses an upgraded version of the Chinese Park Avenue interior with a choice of any hand finished material the owner desires from Ostrich leather to sharks skin and Alligator hide.
The longer under hood/bonnet area is filled with two side-by-side 4.5 Turbo Diesel V8's each chain driven to the conventional central autobox. Because these engines have exhausts exiting between the banks they can both be tilted left and right 60 degrees with their adjoining cylinder banks almost touching. Given that zeta sits the engine back from the front anyway, with the stretch the twin V8’s should fit between the fender well and firewall.
Diesels are un-throttled so these 9 litres worth of 16 cylinders will be quite frugal when just cruising around, but will launch the Cadillac on a wave of torque at a moments notice.
In Asia it would be known as the Cadillac ‘Double 8', given the good fortune of the number 8 in Asian culture
And for those who want more bling and style....
