At first I didn't care much for the split window concept. But it really gives some "Corvette only" distinctiveness to it; it will not be confused with any other vehicle. Due to aerodynamics many vehicles are getting to be difficult to tell from one another - this is a great way to really differentiate the 'Vette.

I like what appears to be a small spine going from the emblem to the roof.

I have yet to see a C7 chop that looks better than the real thing.

The production hatch and side windows try too hard to mimic a Ferrari. I love this split window chop.

Yes that's a spine like the original had.

Thanks, you know it wouldn't be hard to make a conversion kit for this that could be fitted to the Vette convertible.... that way you don't have to cut metal.

Perhaps. But imagine a kit for GM to convert 1,000 convertibles fitted with the LS9.

Everyone of them would be sold at a premium as a collectors edition...

Like it also like the cleaned up vents at the tail lights.

No! There is a reason it went away and never came back!

It would be cool if they made it an option for at least this year as the anniversary edition. It definitely won't be, so that leaves it to the crazies with the custom fab shops.

What about obstructed rear view? The story is that '63 Stingray owners removed it in order to give it a more modern look... And later on, when the split window gained popularity, Stingray owners inserted the thing in '64-'66 models.

Nice try but the c7 is too much of a loser to fix even with a split rear window
