    Buick Riviera?

With the arrival of the new Camaro comes an all new platform called Zeta. To spread costs of the platform GM has announced some new cars to be produced on the architecture. One including the new Buick Riviera (possible name change, ideas?) which is shown here.

Also comming soon is the Pontiac G8, which I will draw in the near future.

Im thinking I should re-do the wheles. There too big even for a concept. Plus there boring.

OK, I did a revisit to my Buick, to make it more Velite like, and add some real wheels and tires.

    What exactly do you mean?

BTW, the only reason it looks like a TT is because when ever I rotate the picture it squashes the crap out of it. It looks alot better as a big long Buick, Not a little import car.

    Re: Buick Riviera?

Not long enough, the wheels are too big, it's too boxy, the roofline is too tall and not long enough as well, roof doesn't flow naturally into the body, the car is too tall in general, overhangs are WAY too short, hood and tail also way too short, the front and back are bluff and unattractive.

Sorry, but it's all wrong. If you're going to do a Riv, set aside a lot of paper, because it's gotta look long, low and imposing. Look at a '63, '66, '72, and maybe even a '95 for inspiration.

I think you made the front end too bulky, but thats just my opinion..other than that, its looking real nice.

Nice, just lower the roof a little and tone down those wheels a bit, They look like something out of a rap video.

TOO BIG, please use imageshack, and when it's uploaded copy "Thumbnail for Forums 1" and paste it in your posts, here's the first one you posted in a thumbnail. that's what asim meant as wel (i think).

    ---------------------
also, the way it looks now makes it appear to be on kappa instead of zeta, the wheelbase looks off and the cabin's too short. nice drawing, but it looks more caddi than buick to me.

    Re: Buick Riviera?

    keep practicing.....

overlay it with photos of actual cars/concepts to see where your proportions are off.
