With all the hype surrounding the Mercedes-Benz CLS and its sweep-spear, I thought a good closer to my artist life as a lowly high school student would be to give one more interpretation of my Buick Invicta.
Gracing the latest interpretation of my car are various throwbacks to Buicks of yore. The first, most notably, is the sweep-spear with the spear portion aligned with the rear wheel well, in a similar manner to the late 1950s' Buick Century. Another notable throwback to the old Invicta are the quadruple headlamps up front, two on each side. The headlights and taillights are of the "light pipe" style.
In keeping with my personal vision of Buick, the Invicta competes with the 5-series, E-class, and A6. Standard engine is a 3.6L DIV6 (315hp). Available engines are a new 4.8L V8 (420hp), and for the Ultra...a twin-turbocharged version of that same V8 for a monstrous 565hp. But, the Ultra is a different vehicle than the M5, and E63AMG. It's a performance vehicle that balances super performance and immense comfort. Buick with Recaro seats anyone?
So, here it is...my last sketch before I step into college.
And, I'm satisfied with the interior's old design, so I'll repost it.
I'd redo the seats, of course.
