Another Addition To The Chevy Performance Family

This is my first Design Contest. I Drew a Chevelle four door sedan to rival the Dodge Charger. The Rear Drawing will be done soon.

Pretty nice to me, BUT I don't feel it has voting qualities.
I'll make a new sig. Later.

the front lower bumper is too kinky, too many angles and would brake right off if you bottomed out, and the curves over the rear wheel look taken straight from the charger

    A 4dr Chevelle, yeah, Bad.

But as to this drawing: even though it may not get any votes. It is good practice for Chevy2K5!
I think you did good work.
    Keep at it & practicing.

IF It's A Chevrolet & RWD, Don't ride in it!!!

ALL Chevy's NEED to be FWD/F-AWD!!!

    If it's a Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Don't ride in/drive it!!

I love your front end... I like how your headlights flow into the top grille section. Elements like that make a car very interesting. I also see too much Charger in the rear. Keep at it!

Re: Another Addition To The Chevy Performance Family

You've got ideas, I'll give you that. The front of the car is bold and has a strong, assertive feel. I don't care for the SS emblem encased in the Bowtie logo, though -- it comes across as indecisive. A nice black or red Bowtie with red or black contrasting edges would've worked just as good. The headlamps are a bit on the small side, too.

As for the side of the car, I'll have to just be honest here -- it's a Charger rip-off and you should go back to the drawing board with it. The roofline and rear quarter-panel kick-up is a Charger lift-off. The front bumper looks like it wouldn't work in real-life in any form from the side view -- the air dam would break-off on the first steep incline the car encounters. I agree and understand the Charger would be a target for the Chevelle should it make a return (hopefully as a coupe, but a sedan would be just as well; GM did make a Chevelle sedan, after all), but a new Chevelle shouldn't look or want to look like a Charger in any form, sorry. The Charger is a pretty sharp car in my opinion, but the styling of that car should be Charger and DCX only, not GM.

Let's see what you've got the next time around.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I'm just beginning to draw and your feedback really helps me to improve. Sometime I'd like to try to draw a 3D Chevelle. For now, I'm just going to practice and improve my drawing (to be less charger-like). I really don't care about votes.

Thumbs up Re: Another Addition To The Chevy Performance Family

    Front end looks AWESOME!

Just need to get rid of the 4-door idea and re-do this in a 2-door model with a slight re-desing to the side and make it look less charger and MORE chevelle.

Other than that, you did a GREAT JOB!

I know the votes are not an issue for you, but the front end design deserves some Votes in my opinion.

I would love to see the rear end design, maybe with a rear end of a 1971/1972 chevelle look with the rear circle corvette style taillights.

Minimize the Charger effect. That includes rounding off the grille.

    It's a great drawing, though.
