    All-new, Zeta-based Buick Invicta

Since GM is dumping the Lacrosse/Allure name on its new EPII sedan, it's time the Invicta nameplate was put on a sedan more deserving. Enter the Zeta platform.

Aimed squarely at the Lexus GS for less money, the Invicta is a large luxury sedan with a dose of performance. Three trims: CX, CXL, and Ultra; CX/CXL get a 3.6L, 300-hp DIV6 while Ultra sticks a turbocharger in there and pulls out 365hp. RWD is standard on CX/CXL; AWD is available on CXL and standard on Ultra.

The size is comparable to the current Buick Lucerne - with a slightly longer hood and a lot less rump. Also, the length compared to the Lucerne is shorter, so that cuts legroom - let's face it, we're not in a Cadillac DTS.

    So, may I present...

Comments? I think this one turned out really well.

It's pretty. Seems really small though, almost too small to be Lucerne sized.

I think the rear is getting a little too GS. can't fault the concept though. A good (and much needed) product for Buick.

The car itself is sized between the upcoming Lacrosse and the current Lucerne - to save cost and weight.

    Thatks for the comments!

So is this on the G8 wheelbase or the Holden Caprice's longer wheelbase or is something in between? As always love your drawing.
This could really work for Buick as its top sedan $50-75K and we could have a winner on our hands.
With the sizes that you gave puts it right at the size of a regular length LS(198"overall 116.9"wb), so I could see it being an LS for less and really working in Buick's favor.

Here are some rough specs I compiled:

    Pricing (no extra options)
    CX RWD - $34500
    CX AWD - $37100
    CXL RWD - $37500
    CXL AWD - $40100
    Ultra - $44500

    Wheelbase - 118"
in line with the WM Statesman
    Overall Length - 193"
Slightly longer than a Lexus GS

The reason the length is nowhere near the length of a Statesman (203") is because the Invicta has a slightly smaller passenger compartment, slightly shorter hood, and a smaller trunk.

Instrument Panel comes first. Then a front 3/4 (which I might be doing for this one).

So basically you are making it a ES/GS only larger and cheaper with the Lacrosse and Invicta. Will your Lucerne and Signia be at the top of the Buick line then? Also isn't the Lacrosse going to be in the range of 194"?
Did you ever think of compiling all of your drawings into a single thread kind of like RIA? It would be interesting to see them all together.
