2012 Buick Invicta based on the new Saab 9-5

I created this concept based on the rumors that Buick could gain a new model based on the 9-5 if GM closes Saab. Personally I would hate to see Saab die and I'd much rather see clean sheet designs for Buick.

Wow, thanks Buick and t-rex! I've been checking into GMI and reading posts here and there. I don't know what happened, a lot of personal stuff, and work conspiring to get me to stop posting. It's a new year so I decided it's time to start posting again.

The VUE got totaled? What happened!

I hope the kids and wife are OK.

    And, on topic, nice Invicta

I like it, but I can't love it just because it's a *******ized Saab trying to be a Buick. I want to love it but I can't. It would be better than dropping the 9-5 altogether.

I love the name of course.

Very nice... although I'm not sure how they would position a car like this relative to the Regal and LaCrosse.

I would hope it would be larger and a sort of Lucerne replacement. I don't know the dimensions of the 9-5, Lucerne and LaCrosse, however.

    Thank you.

Yep, the VUE got totaled last February.

My wife was driving by herself early one morning westbound on Middle Country Rd. when someone in a Pathfinder pulled out into oncoming traffic, got hit by a Town Car going eastbound and continued across four lanes hitting my wife head on in the right lane. The impact destroyed the Saturn and she had to get extracted from the car by the fire department. She sustained multiple bruises and her right arm was broken in two places. We both believe the Saturn saved her life.

Things could have been much worse and we are thankful that they weren't. After months of physical therapy she still feels pain in her arm and her range of motion is not great. She is going to have surgery in a couple of weeks to remove one of the metal plates in her arm and hopefully eliminate the pain and restore her full range of motion. I have to give her credit for being able to bounce back, continue to raise our three year old twins all while dealing with the constant pain.

Don't duck, I wanted to put one in. I tried to design it with as few body panel changes as possible, like the Regal. Not the best solution, but probably the most realistic.

Nice. But no. There is no point the 9-5 is basically the same size as the LaCrosse.
