I'm gonna be constructive here unlike the others. It is very boxy. The windows are very small. Maybe try to do some other veiws of the car before attempting a 3/4 veiw. Try again if your up to it. Make the wheels bigger or add wheel arches to take up some of that fender space.
ok, ok, FR, the boxiness is really not working on this one. try to trace the body lines of your drawing to a separate sheet, and then make new lines on top of those. repeat untill you find something you really like. i'd try to make the whole car curvy a la 4th gen, but that's just me .Originally Posted by heals120
also, don't make the lines on the corners so hard, if you just smudge them a bit it will make the corners seem more rounded and less boxy. as for teh overall design, not bad, just needs some cleaner lines.
It started as a box. Then I shaped it.Originally Posted by camaroman22

There's some things you should work on... and I'd love to see you post up a new one to show what you've improved on...
-To boxy... try making it more curvy... Right now, it looks like a Jeep or a Hummer mated with a last-gen Civic. Give it softer edged and more curves.
-WAY to large of a body-to-window ratio. Some show cars are like that, but that's just way to much.
-Draw lightly at first to define the vehicle, then build... and I usually start at the nose... if you start there, you'll be able to setup the personality of the vehicle, thus enabling you to see where you want to go throughout the rest of the car.
EDIT: Another thing I'll do is start with the silhouette of the vehicle, as that can dictate just as well the personality of the vehicle...

i'm sorry, all i can say is it is going to take a long time for you to come up with drawings like torred
btw sometime i might post a drawing of my firebird for this contest
dude that hood scoope is huge. man i wish gm will make the ws6 but we know that will not happen
Ummmm, I'm not a drawer but that doesn't sound likethe best way to start off. Maybe someone else, torred comes to mind, could advise you on how to start (and finish).Originally Posted by FordRules
i think the hood scoop is too big and the wheels are put too low on the car, and the front is too flat.

Youve come a long way FordRules, but you still have a long road ahead of you. Keep it up. This is a much better drawing than we're used to seeing from you.
Stick to Photoshop
