    2008 Chevrolet Caprice

Selectrimatic is the world’s least expensive, yet most reliable hybrid drive train.

8000rpm 25KW (100lbs/ft torque @ stall) motor clutch coupled to rear differential driven at 8:1 multiplication and 5KW integral generator/starter.

Low KW motor employed far less often than most parallel hybrid vehicles - allows battery weight only 75% greater than conventional automotive battery.

Electric motor provides reverse “gear” or drive mode and can provide breakaway power only up to 20mph, or regenerative braking only at speeds below 30mph.

Two speed rear axle similar to medium duty truck’s provides 4.25:1 and 2.56:1 ratios

“Switch pitch” torque converter provides 2.6:1 torque multiplication with 2600rpm stall speed or 2:1 torque multiplication with 1800rpm stall speed.

Torque converter lockup clutch provides direct drive even in lower speed, city driving.

Six forward drive modes or “speeds” with 11.05:1 to 2.56:1 ratio spread – each can be locked in with column mounted shifter.

$1400, 170lb, 4L60 Hydramatic transmission is completely eliminated.

Transmission’s 30hp parasitic power loss eliminated.

No transmission “hump” - allows ample leg room for front middle passenger. Fixed rear differential allows smaller driveshaft hump.

Rear battery placement and electric drive motor, along with elimination of transmission make for perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

3650lb Caprice is the lightest, most fuel efficient American made 6 passenger vehicle.

    Standard 4800 V8 300lbs/ft @ 4000rpm

    Optional 6600 V8 350lbs/ft @ 3000rpm

"Suicide" bay style doors with "beer tap" handles in the door frames

Outside mounted, swing away spare tire

    Optional “triple bucket” front seats.

    Optional 18" real wire wheels.

Impressive sketch... but yeah, looks more like a 70s Pontiac than a 2008 Chevy.

As said before, it does look like it is from the late 70s to the 80s.
I'll make a new sig. Later.

A little bit too retro for my tastes. Nice color choice, though.
