    2007 Chevy Something...it's a Chevelle!

This chop started out heading in one direction, and ended up going in a completely different and unexpected one. That's what makes these chops fun to me. I never know what I'm gonna get. I thought it turned out kind of interesting. What do you think? Maybe a Chevelle coupe?

You'll never guess what kind of car this chop started out as. I'll bet nobody gets it.

Good eye, Taycron, although I'm not sure how you guessed! It was a (butt ugly) Malibu.

Jughead: yeah, I agree, I'm not too thrilled with the headlights, but I've already got too many hours into this thing!

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it.

Here's a comparo between the original photo and the chop.

    That's a Lame name for a car...

Honestly this name, sounds even more stupid than Hyundai Accent.

    But back on the Topic...

If this is supposedly to be Front Wheel Drive 2-Door Coupe.

Than it should be the new 2007 Chevy Beretta.

I Didn't like those Headlights, They are too skinny and small.

    The Grille could be smaller.

    And change the name...

    Best Wishes.

Kowalski-Actually, it doesn't have a name yet. I didn't set out to create a particular car...but I agree, maybe it could be a new Beretta. As far as the grill, I made it bigger, chopped the windshield a bit more, shortened the front end, tweaked a few more things on the nose...but those headlights are kind of growing on me! :p

I'd also like different wheels on it, but I'm too lazy to change them right now.

Here's the reworked car. I think it at least says "Chevy" and it looks different from anything else they're building.

Thanks again for your input, everyone.

    *edit*
    Ok, bigger headlights.

My Opinion: shorter front end, taller body, but what it really needs.. redo front end!!!

However: it looks long like a BMW 5 or 7 series which is cool

This car is definitely a work in progress, this is fun. I've incorporated your suggestions in this latest revision. It's starting to look like "something" I'd buy!

Ok, what the hell, now it's a Mustang fighter.

Any idea what we should call it?

It has hideaway headlights...Too bad it would never meet 5 mph bumper standards and it needs turn signals...somewhere.

    Re: 2007 Chevy Something

I really like the look of this car now. I have hesitated to call it Camaro, since that automatically invites flames because everyone has such a strong opinion of what a Camaro should be. I have to admit that I'd like to see a new Camaro that's less wedgy, and more curvy and lower. Plus, this didn't really start out trying to be a Camaro, and the only real Camaro styling cue is the front end from the '67-68 RS/SS (a personal favorite). I'm very limited in my skill level, and I don't do contours and curves well at all in photoshop (actually Paintshop), so I end up doing lots of lines and angles. In this case I think the wedgy/angular aspects contrast nicely with the curve of the roofline and the rounded nose. This design is rather conservative compared to the last gen Camaro, and what most would like a new Camaro to look like, but it looks do-able, and has the advantage with that roofline of probably providing comfortable rear seating for two passengers, a huge plus for sales.

I think I'm done with this one.

If they made a Malibu that looked like that I would buy one.
