    2007 Chevelle SS Vert

This is my second entry, if I can detail it out in time ! Perhaps because I seem to have gotten the name wrong on the previous (Firebird, now Rice Rocket),
maybe this name is right? Yes it is based upon the Super Sport concept car.
    Talk to me fast...

    ...What'cha think ?

I think you've gotten the intent of our "chop" contests here.

You're on the right track with this one. While the SS concept spoke to me as a Chevelle, I'd say keep working on it to incorporate more Chevelle design cues.

Personally, my two favorite versions of the Chevy A-Car were the '65-'66, and the '68-69 designs. I'd like to see aspects of those in future designs.

OK then here we go....cut #2, in a more Chevy Blue color...going for that "old school" Hot Rod feel to it, while keeping the modern curve look to it as well. I like the 1970 Chevelle look alot, used to have a SS 396 coupe, wish I still had that car !...

Hey, c'mon ART is "highly subjective" as one auto designer told me once,...what's ART to one person is scribbles to another, to me it's all the same. I am pleased you have taken a shine to this one, thank you.

Now, about this hood...I want to incorporate the Cowl Flap Induction lid from the 70 SS. I will put the shine back on after I get the form right.

Also want to put in the look from a driver's POV so you see the slats from the idea of the SS stripes, but do not need to have decals, ya'know wat i'm say'in ? (front hood bumps). Kinda has a 50's Corvette feel to the front ?

    Take a look...

Yes, I changed the color...again, is this more of a Chevelle Blue or not ?

I can finish this before the deadline tonite, so gotta go watch NASCAR then I will finish this off. Later, oh next one has to be the Final.

I have not figured out how to delete my upload attachments from the past (all those filtered ART pix !) ...
...can anybody tell me how you do this, please !!!

How about a dark red or dark blue...but the car is sweet.

i like how you rendered the car a bit more and brought out more details, but the rear is too narrow, the trunk needs to be longer on the (car's) left side.

also, the a-pillars and winshield are a bit sloppy. try to clean those up a bit as well. hope this helps

If the other design ( Pontiac GT ) was a dud, this one is....DABOMB ! LOL !

Anyway, it is basically finished now.
I presume that you all allow people in these pictures too..I know I saw some in yours.
The driver and the girl ...what can I say, I think it's a sexy car !,...NOW it's ART.

p.s. when I exceeded the upload attachment memory, it let me delete all the old stuff, great !...more room to upload ! ...I may have to upload this again.
I played with the size and it blurred it up a tiny bit ! ...let me know ?

    Let's call this the Final.

I fixed the tail & A-pillars, and did not mess with the size (postcard).THX.
Alot of compound curves on this baby !...oh yeah.
Hope this is good enough for now. Waiting on the NASCAR race...of course I have been waiting all winter, what's another few hours !

Now that you cleared up some space, can you post a bigger picture?

    THIS IS THE FINAL.

I fixed the glass, the OTHER a-pillar (opps !)...turned the lights up & put in more refelections. OK ?

If you want it bigger, just save it into your files. It breaks down if larger due to the original picture I used to start with !...but you can see what I did that way if you want to. This pix is barely 40k, JPEG compressed, I could upload the PSD for more but even that is hardly a meg, so resolution is low the bigger it gets.

Did the rain stop in DAYTONA yet ?
