    98 MPH Speed governor

I drive the 2020 Chevy Colorado ZR2. I am looking for something in writing that states there is a manufactured governor that tops my truck out at 98 mph? I can’t seem to find this information. I’ve searched online, checked the manual, and been into a couple dealerships. Does anyone have insight? Or, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Different vehicles have different speed limitations usually based on the speed rating of the tires. I would start looking in that area of your manual.

Your Honor, you have to dismiss this speeding ticket, my vehicle is limited to 98 mph, they must've clocked the wrong vehicle!

Why would you want to go past fuel cut off?

It is designed to Cut Off at the Speed Rating of the Tires. Unless you have it "Chipped" so I doubt it would hold up in Court anyways.
