    Sig: Vehicle Owned

It's come to my attention that some persistent posters don't have their ride listed in their sig, or anywhere else in their personal data.

Some seem to think that because they've mentioned what they drive in a post here and there, anyone discussing anything with them will automatically know the finest details of their incredible steel stallion.
That would be down to tire brand, line, size, rotation schedule, and the latest door dings and windshield pings...

And it turns out that some folks who have issues with, oh for example the incredibly turrible W body, actually OWN a W body. And like it.

I realize it's a stretch to require one's current steed be listed (after all, one can lie) in the sig, but from my POV perhaps repeated cues when signing up--or maybe on a monthly basis--would stimulate some debaters to list their fleet--real or imaginary--in order to fine-tune debate and point of reference.

And that's all I know about thayitt.

I agree -- which is why I listed my current (and past) GM's in my signature. It's just nice to see what people are driving versus what they are posting about. Not to judge, but to see some camaraderie.

It gets annoying when someone posts a technical question but didn't indicate the vehicle in question and don't have anything in their signature that allows you to make an educated guess

I like the way you think Neanderthal! Yes, the "W-Body Files" was quite hilarious.

When you get into a "debate" with said skat-board owner, just tell them to run-a-long, and go grease their wheels and straighten their stoppers, mom said dinner is going to be ready soon.

You are being a tad-bit obnoxious, and since you have your cars listed, not sure what your fear is.

Everything you mentioned would be irrelevant to the majority of discussions which involve vehicles. Location is something most people have entered under their SN, and, IMO, helps to identify where some people are [philosophically] coming from. Some of the meatier debates allow one to take a step back and understand another perspective when it's quite different from one's own. I mean that in the context that some things many of us in the US consider "normal" may not be the "normal" to one in Australia or the UK.

You forgot "any moles or identifying marks or scars."

Thanks for mentioning "location" because DUH it's right there. Paging Mr. Obvious, paging Mr. Obvious! Please report to the front desk at GMI!

Fortunately Jim Rockford tipped me off. You drive a near-Firebird. He said after a careful investigation, he determined that your Fuelly sig may mean something. BTW, he also said you need to update your fill-ups!

Har! Too bad Jim Rockford's not around to do some investigating!

Yes, it IS important to know the skateboard brand and wheel type. And especially what section of mom's basement Young 'Boarder is living in.

His fear may be there won't be enough arguments to pick. I'd suggest he mosey on over to the "Do You Have To Hate GM To Be A GM-Hating Hateful GMI Hater?" or whatever the thread title is. Plenty of material there.
