I complained about that and the link no workee so perhaps that idiot headline is deleted. It was/is adolescent and the sort of stuff you'd expect at Civic ricer sites or one of the H/K sites where two or three a-holes carry on public chats using all sorts of locker room language showing their ignorance.

I don't know for sure that this clickbait's very first appearance was at TTAC.
But I do know that it was up there for a few days before it showed up here.

I've noticed the f word in multiple articles posted on the main page (although this is the first time in a headline AFAIK). Agree the professionalism is pretty much gone.

"Professionals?" It's the internet, these aren't professionals.

No, it doesn't. And that bothers me.

Does anyone have actual complaints about the content of Mark's article?

He doesn't call the Cruze a bad car, in fact based on the conversation we had last week Mark actually really likes the way it drives.

The hood release latch is RIDICULOUSLY flimsy, it twists before it pulls the cable, not exactly installing a sense of good. Just comparing component cost on the retail end, the new latch and cable assembly saves about $5, IIRC the door panels are closer to $20.

I think GM is building better cars now than it ever has in its entire 100+ year history, problem is, GM is seemingly only capable of getting one aspect right at a time. See recent Cadillacs, world beaters when measured in terms of dynamics, dogs when evaluated on interiors.

Mark's piece may have been myopically focused on the Cruze, but I think he has a point, up and down GM's lineup the interiors could use a helping hand in the simplicity department. Why does the CT6 feature 3 different finishes on the dashboard alone, why does the Bolt's headliner feel like cardboard? Although, I do really like what GMC's doing.

Also, it's an OP-ED, by definition it's informal and opinionated...

You might be thinking, “So what? Why are you ranting about interiors?” And I’ll tell you why: General Motors knows how to build an interior that isn’t the automotive equivalent of Fresh Kills. These issues aren’t due to slip ups in manufacturing or mistakes with tooling; they’re baked into the design of the parts and/or made by discount tools by the lowest bidding supplier. And it’s all done for one reason and one reason only: pennies of profit.
Can you say that's entirely wrong?

It's nitpicking at its finest. Bring me any car from any manufacturer and I could come up with the same petty complaints.
