Please Show Me What I'm Doing Wrong

Whenever I post a news article and follow the GMI format, 2 constant problems always occur. Whenever I click the "Insert Link" button, it does not allow me to add a name after adding the hyperlink. Also, whenever I click the "Insert Image" button, it always shows as a thumbnail photo instead of the full-size image. I've noticed other people have the same results, so I am wondering if it has to do with which browser I am using. I am using Chrome by the way. Thanks in advance.

Here's a recent link for an example.

You're not doing it right. I'm on my phone so I can't do a step by step but the site's working fine.

    Re: Please Fix Your Website

I would greatly appreciate the tutorial because I see no way to alter the outcome.

    For future reference:

This is what I see when I click the "Insert Image" button: I right click, and copy image URL, but when I paste it in said box, all that shows up is a thumbnail image only

This is what I see when I click the "Insert Link" button: As you can see, no way to add a title, only the link

All right, now that I'm home.

When you want to insert a link, bring up the insert link dialogue box, paste in the link. You'll get this: [ URL="http://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/news.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2014/Jun/0617-volt.html"]http://h ttp://media.gm.com/media/us...617-volt .html[/U RL]

The part that isn't in the brackets that I've bolded, edit that to whatever you want. For this, I'd put General Motors or GM Media.

For photos, you need to uncheck the "Retrieve remote file" thing and it'll insert it normally instead of as a thumbnail.

For images, I find it much easier to use Imgur.com. Just copy/paste the BBcode link.

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar! Thank you for correcting me. After all these years and various forums, I've never seen it done this way. I've edited my OP to place proper fault.

I find that the easiest way too...

Just type [IMG][/IMG] and copy/past the pic address in between the two brackets.

The easiest way to post an article IMHO is to just copy an already posted article and basically plug in the new one's information right where it belongs. It saves time and ensures that the format is perfect.
