    New Password Popup problem

I've changed my password, but I keep getting the below popup box and I can't "X" out of it, I have to reload GMI every time it appears. Anyone experiencing the same? Any suggestions?

    Dear forum members,

Due to a security issue we will be resetting all users' passwords. This reset will be taking place between Tuesday June 21st - Thursday June 23rd.

Please ensure that the email address associated with your account is the correct email address and that you have access to this account. To check, go to: UserCP >> Edit Email and Password. Once the password reset has taken place, you will not be able to change anything on your account until you have successfully logged in. For more information please go to the site issues section.

    I have the same problem.

GMInsideNews did not have sufficient site security in place (despite selling massive amount of ad space to third party providers.......) - and we will all suffer for it.

Quite frequently my security software, Kaspersky, blocked some items on GMI....

It does seem to be working normally now, though last night and this morning I was having a lot of problems (after changing the password).

I used to get "piggyback" virus's through GMI, and my security would zap the site. It happened a lot.

Of course, I never have that problem now that my system is under deep freeze.

This happens to me quite often here as well. When I bring up the site or log on I get a notice across the screen that an attack by certain sites that have attached themselves here was blocked. IMO AutoGuide and GMI really need to step it up a bit. I hope this is a start anyway.

I didn't realise that SSforums/GMI and China Car Forums were connected until I got the same password reset instructions for the three sites! My only problem was I reset my GMI password at the same time as I did SSForums and then had to reset it again as they clobbered it.

    hey there,

make sure you do a full cache and cookies clear, along with a malware clean up as well. you might have some stuff piggy backing a plugin or your browser.
