    How to find threads

Many times I make a comment to a post in the super ticker. But once the topic falls off the super ticker I have a hard time finding the topic again without a lot of hunting and pecking. I've used the search feature to find all threads with my "name" but it doesn't pull up all threads.

For example yesterday I made a comment in a thread that was in the super ticker that was discussing "ignorance is bliss". It has fallen off the super ticker and now I can't find where it has gone to. Using the search for "blackgtp" does not bring it up.

PS - I know I can find it by putting the word ignorance in the search, but often times I can't remember the name of a thread. I guess my real question is why doesn't the search always work with my username. Or does it just indicate that no one has responded to a post of mine so that my username is not part of a response to search from?

Instead of using Search just click on your own username and open your own profile page. Right there is another search capability to bring up all your recent posts by clicking "Find all posts by blackgtp". This will list them from most recent back and have the thread names and a small sample of your post. You click on it there and it will take you to wherever it is now and you look at the top of the page to see where it is.

It will have something like "GM Inside News Forum > Discussion Area > Site Feedback and Support > How to find threads" and you will then know where to go next time.
