    Daylight savings times

For some reason my profile's clock has changed an hour into the future and trying to update it has moved me 2 hours into the future when I set it to automatically adjust DST. Is anyone else having this problem? Queenslanders?

This isn't how all the movies made it out to be.

It was also a large factor in the death of Australia's auto manufacturing industry. I'm writing to the editor of the Daily Telegraph right now because OUTRAGE!!!!

That would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

Reminds me of a quote attributed to John Wayne: "Life is hard. It's even harder when you're stupid."

This IS a very serious issue.

As we all know, since The Day After Tomorrow was filmed, globaloney warming has only gotten worse. algore had to move to a mansion on the west coast to better fight Warming, and in general the coldest snowiest winter on record further proves the Heat Index is careening out of control, like a sideways dragster slewing down the strip at 180!!

Please help us, before we end up like Mars!!

Yep we will be red- sunburn is my tip. Incidently in the last 90 days 150 weather record temperatures have been recorded in Australia. What we need is a huge tube of factor30!

So really, folks, what good is DST any more?

Locally they say it's "For the children." Of course. So it will be light when they're waiting for the bus.

OTOH, it will be dark by 4:30 or earlier. How about the children then?

And are local school districts and bidnesses too freakin unintelligent to figure out how to adjust their schedules, all by themselves, without Uncle's help for all?

I would rather have flexible working hours. We all seem to start around the same time which causes peak hours when it is often unnecessary. For a while my job was totally involved in talking to China so they didn't get to work until 10o'clock or 11(during DST) so I adjusted my hours accordingly. The problem is with schools and such. I would hope that DST gives children more time to play outside but i think most of them are playing indoors on computers anyway now. I must say that I prefer DST over summer now as the job I am in I finish at 4:30 so it gives me enough time to do things after work with plenty of daylight. Sunset tonight will be around 7:45. DST will end in early April which I think is three weeks too late. About now is when it should be finishing here but they have kept it going for the Formula 1 GP which is this weekend.
