    New Opel Movano

...still based on the Renault Master, until the original agreement between GM and Renault expires at the end of 2020 so they switch to the PSA ones. I spotted this French article at

It is a shame GM never brought a Eurovan to this side of the Atlantic. All what I see now is RAM ProMaster and Ford Transit, with the occasional Mercedes Sprinter.

It's mighty slab sided but ya it is a van. I too think GM should have brought something over from Europe like Ram and Ford did, oh well.

They are too full of themselves to see opportunity even when its falling on them like rain.

It is too late now, GM has no more engineering and manufacturing presence in Europe. So will GM keep on selling the Express/Savana forever? will they get an update? Is GM exiting the van market?

GM has an engineering presence in Italy and UK I believe plus Australia.

Not aware of any GM presense in the UK now - there's been virtually no engineering presense at Vauxhall for years.

GM Powertrain Torino is still part of GM.

I wonder where GM's next generation D2XX and E2XX replacements will come from. Probably China or South Korea.

GM needs just one FWD/AWD modular platform to cover the the full range of "global" FWD/AWD models - it's going that way but about 2 decades late

    Re: New Opel Movano

Read an article on GM-Aut... how the Express sales are up and still holds 22% of the van market (not counting Savanna). I know its the methuselah of vans, but why would the spend money on a new model? Ever think some companies prefer the way these vans are configured? plus, they're probably 10 fold more reliable than the Transit, and 20 fold more than anything coming from FCA.
