will the hd trans (4L80E?) from 2005 bolt up to my truck?

random, i know. but i was just wondering. i figure if/when my tranny goes, might as well upgrade. the different engine may cause a problem, maybe even some computer stuff, but i dont know. figured id ask.

    any thoughts, opinions? better options?

It should bolt in with no problems. I'm not sure about the electronics though.

    hmmmm interesting...

next question, how much can the 4l80e (is that the right one?) handle? not now, but eventually, i plan on adding some power. as in, supercharger type of power. would it be able to handle that?

would either of the driveshafts be affected as well?

I would think both drive shafts would be, shorter rear and longer front. Plus bigger U Joints.

A built 4L60/65/70-E, that is it.
    Or...sell the 1/2 ton and get a 6.0 3/4 ton with the 4L80E.
whats the -65 or 70E? later versions of the same tranny?

but i love my truck.....and the only thing i would trade for would be a duramax (preferably '06, with the allison).
