    Trailblazer Electronic Stability Control

A GM press release in November 2004 stated (in part) that Electronic Stability Control (ESC) will be available on the Trailblazer in 2005. I realize that the release may be cleverly worded to mean it will be available on the 2006 Trailblazer, manufactured beginning in 2005.

I am considering the purchase of a 2005 Trailblazer LT 4x4 and I have been unable to determine when ESC will be available (or if it will be on the 2005 model). My Corvette has the option and I will not purchase another vehicle without it.

I sent an email to Chevrolet using their web site contact page, asking when ESC will be available on the Trailblazer. This is the response:

Thank you for contacting Chevrolet and for your interest in the Chevrolet TrailBlazer! StabiliTrak, General Motors' vehicle stability enhancement system is not presently available on the 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer. We are unable to advise at this point when it may become available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Your preferred Chevrolet dealer would be your best source of information regarding new product developments. To obtain more information regarding the TrailBlazer, please visit www.chevrolet.com or contact your preferred dealership to arrange a test drive.

We hope that this information answers your question. If you need additional information or have further questions, please let us know via email or by calling Chevrolet at 1-800-950-2438, between 8:00 AM-11:00 PM Eastern Time, seven days per week. Again, thank you for contacting Chevrolet!

    Sincerely,

Does anyone know when ESC will be available on a Trailblazer? Thank you.

Thats what keeps it from tipping over, right. You should know, that the Trailblazer was rated high for its rollover rating. I am not sure when ESC will be available, but I am sure it will be for the 2005 refresh on the TB.
